Murad Guliyev, Head of Technical Functions of GL Group, participated in the 31st Baku Energy Forum session “Upstream – New Horizons”.
In his remarks, he highlighted the importance of looking at mature fields not only as ageing assets, but as resources with further potential when approached through disciplined engineering, better data, advanced drilling techniques and practical innovation.
He also underlined the role of digitalization and AI in helping technical teams work more efficiently, make better decisions and focus on value adding operations. Just as importantly, he pointed to partnerships and shared access to technology, equipment and infrastructure as critical enablers for unlocking further upstream potential.
