At the 31st Baku Energy Forum, our Group CEO and Chairman of Advisory Board Asif Zeynalov took the stage at the flagship executive panel alongside the most senior leadership of the global energy industry in our region.
His message was direct: collaboration is the defining competitive advantage in Azerbaijan’s upstream sector. He shared how GL Group turned a critical high-pressure well situation into a success by openly engaging fellow operators and contractors, delivering great results where abandonment was the alternative.
He also outlined where GL Group stands: five significant oil and gas fields in Azerbaijan, 25% stake in a Canadian company which owns 100% license in a tight gas business in Türkiye, active U.S. market entry, a pre-IPO announcement expected soon, and a drilling scale-up from one to four rigs by year end.
The Caspian is not a legacy basin. It is an opportunity and GL Group is open to engage and to collaborate.
