As part of the GL Group Summer Internship Program, our interns visited Salyan Oil Limited, an affiliated company of GL Group, to gain first-hand exposure to the operations that power our business.
The visit began with a tour at Karimbayli Office, where the interns were introduced to the office facilities, including the assembly hall and the monitoring room. This provided them with valuable insight into how field operations are monitored and coordinated before teams head into the field.
The interns then visited Field No. 6, where they observed ongoing field operations, followed by Well No. 811, where they witnessed a major well workover in progress. For many of our interns, this was their first opportunity to experience upstream oil and gas operations up close. Watching experienced crews at work and seeing the precision, teamwork, and expertise required to carry out these operations helped them better understand how field activities connect with the work carried out across our offices, giving them a broader perspective on the industry.
