GL Group today announced two Senior Vice-Presidents: Gilbert Beuhler as Senior Vice-President for Technical Functions and International Operations, and Elman Seyidov as Senior Vice-President for Operations in Azerbaijan, effective immediately.
Mr. Beuhler has over 40 years of experience in all aspects of field development and reservoir management. Before joining GL Group he held numerous international leadership and technical positions with BP and Exxon. Previous key leadership roles include Production Vice-President for BP Russia, General Manager for BP Iraq Kurdistan, Reservoir Development Vice-President for BP Middle East, Brownfield Director for TNK-BP in Russia, Technical Manager for the Rumaila Field in Iraq, and Reservoir Development Manager for the Prudhoe Bay Field in Alaska. Mr. Beuhler holds a B.Sc. Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Kansas, USA. Mr. Beuhler will continue his duties as an Advisory Board Member for GL Group.
Mr. Seyidov has over 30 years of technical and Leadership experience. Before joining GL Group, Mr. Seyidov worked for BP for 18 years in Azerbaijan and the North Sea, holding various technical and leadership roles. These included Shah Deniz Operations Manager, Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli Operations Manager, Regional Production Manager, and most recently, Regional Subsea Operations Manager for the Caspian region. In these roles, Mr. Seyidov consistently focused on operational safety, reliability, and production optimization. In recognition of his significant contributions to the oil industry, Mr. Seyidov was awarded the prestigious "Tərəqqi" medal by President Ilham Aliyev on 20 September 2024. He holds a B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering specializing in oil and gas field equipment from the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University.
