GL, the bronze sponsor of the Baku Energy Forum, was represented in the forum sessions.
Asif Zeynalov, GL CEO, made a presentation on the topic of "Production opportunities in the Caspian – GL’s journey". He underlined that the production opportunities in the Caspian region are very favorable both in terms of the geographical position of Azerbaijan and successful infrastructure projects. Asif Zeynalov mentioned that despite the pandemic, volatility of oil prices ,and logistical situation, the company has demonstrated resilience, adding that GL has taken successful steps in the market.
Farida Aghayeva, GL Human Resources and Learning & Development Vice President, participated in the panel discussions on the topic of "Retraining energy industry employees to ensure a successful energy transition". She stated that the young professionals of the energy industry are “digital natives”. They are quite entrepreneurial, team-spirited, and well-educated young people who care enough about business, social and environmental justice issues.
David Triolo, GL Wells , and Drilling Director spoke on the topic of "New drilling methods for oil and gas wells" at the Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition.
