Kanan Aliyev, Group Director of Reservoir Management at GL Group, attended the Conventional Energy Fundamentals session as a speaker on the third day of the 18th Baku Summer Energy School. Mr. Aliyev shared his insights on Sustainable Energy Production Practices in the Conventional Energy Sector.
He underlined the importance of conventional energy sources and highlighted the role of advanced technical capabilities in their exploration, extraction, and processing. In particular, Mr. Aliyev emphasized the significance of cutting-edge technologies such as machine learning and artificial intelligence.
“In summary, the energy transition is not a novel phenomenon but a continuous process that reflects society's technological and scientific advancements. The development of conventional energy sources remains a cornerstone of economic stability and progress, driven by innovative technologies and interdisciplinary scientific approaches,” Mr. Aliyev said.
