Emin was appointed as the Security Director reporting to the CEO in December 2021.
Emin has over 20 years of experience in the security sector and is a retired Colonel. During his service Emin was awarded many medals including “For the Homeland” and other national awards of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He has extensive experience in risk analysis, drawing security policies, planning, and organizing implementation of various procedures of security management.
Emin holds bachelor’s degrees both in Oriental Studies and Law from Baku State University and Master’s degree in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School of the United States. He has also completed a variety of programs and trainings in international security and countering terrorism.
Ilgar Ibrahimli was appointed as the Government and Public Affairs Director reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of GL effective the June 01, 2023.
llgar Ibrahimli is highly accomplished government affairs and strategic communications professional with more than 20 years of experience within government, international organizations, and business.
Before joining the GL, Ilgar worked as the Senior Executive Officer of the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe, the biggest OSCE mission in Central Asia, for several years. Ilgar was in charge of providing strategic leadership and advice for the delivery of the Office's political mandate through the implementation of programs in the political-military, economic-environmental, and humanitarian dimensions of security. He was also the Marketing and Communications Director of Azerfon LLC, as well as Director of the Council of Europe Information Office in Azerbaijan.
Ilgar holds a bachelor’s degree in History and master’s degree in New History of Europe and America from Baku State University.
He began his career at the National Television and Radio Council of Azerbaijan as the Head of the International Cooperation Department.
In May 2023, Ilgar was awarded a medal by the Commander of the Border Troops of Tajikistan for his efforts on reinforcement of the Border Troops.
Ramil was appointed as the General Manager of Salyan Oil Limited reporting to Vice President of Operations in January 2022. He has extensive experience with over 23 years in the oil and gas industry. Throughout the years, Ramil has held the following positions:
Operations Production Supervisor for Oily Rocks, SOCAR for 6 years. He was responsible for managing site production team, delivering production commitments, and conducting safe and efficient operations.
Technical and Leadership Positions, such as Operations Production Supervisor, Operations Team Leader and Offshore Installation Manager on one of Azeri–Chirag–Gunashli platforms and Operations Discipline Manager for BP during the last 18 years
Ramil has also led the implementation of new ways of Working and New organization structure at BP in 2018.
Ramil has been awarded the “Honorary Oil Worker” badge by SOCAR president in 2019 in recognition of hard work to support Azerbaijan oil industry growth.
Ramil holds a BSc degree and Engineering Diploma in Reservoir Engineering from Azerbaijan State Oil Academy.
Nadir Efendiyev was appointed as the General Manager of Taghiyev Operating Company LLC reporting to Vice President of Operations effective May 1, 2023.
Nadir is a professional with 20 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry. Nadir worked in BP Azerbaijan for the past 18 years and acted at different Technical and Leadership positions such as Production Supervisor, Offshore Operations Engineer, Operations Team Leader, Project Operations Team Leader, and Operations Installation Manager. Nadir has international experience in the UK and was involved in Operational readiness of projects.
He has extensive experience in Project Management as well and was involved in multiple major projects within BP assets such as Shah Deniz offshore Gas Project and Gas lift Projects in oil assets.
In the last 4 years, he was acting as Operations Installation Manager at offshore platforms. On his last role he was acting as Operational Installation Manager at Central Azeri platform which is the most complex platform within BP assets and in Caspian sea.
Nadir has been actively promoting Nationalization, led recruitment processes, set up training and coaching which resulted in significant value to the Organization and maintaining the manning levels.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Drilling and Exploration from State Oil Academy.
Kenan was appointed as the Subsurface Manager reporting to Vice President of Operations in September 2021. He has 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and was part of multidisciplinary subsurface teams for energy companies and consultancy groups such as BP, Eni, DeGolyer & MacNaughton and Baker RDS. Kenan’s knowledge and expertise covers hydrocarbon basins around the world: Gulf of Mexico, North Sea, North Africa, South Caspian Basin, Western Siberia and Dnipro-Donetsk. Kenan holds B. Sc and M. Sc Degree in Geology from Baku State University and M. Sc degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University.
He is a Certified Petroleum Geologist by American Association of Petroleum Geologists and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
David Triolo was appointed to the position of Wells and Drilling Director as of 1 November 2022, reporting to Vice President of Operations.
David has very extensive international experience in drilling, completion, and workover of wells. He worked for 33 years with Amoco/BP then the remaining years with Husky Energy. He was involved in major projects around the world including North America, UK, UAE, Egypt, West Africa, Kuwait, Azerbaijan, and China. David’s experience comprises of onshore, offshore, and deep-water operations. Twelve years were spent working in BP Azerbaijan’s ACG and Shah Deniz fields. His roles include rig drilling engineer, well site leader, BP Shah Deniz Wells superintendent to Director of Drilling and Completions for Husky Energy’s Asia-Pacific division.
He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering.
Aida Mammadova is appointed as the Planning and Performance Manager reporting to Vice President of Operations. Aida has over 20 years of extensive planning, performance and project controls background and 9 years of leadership experience primarily in oil and gas sector.
Aida has broad expertise in establishing planning and scheduling division in areas such as Major Projects, EPC, Operations, Major Turnaround, Maintenance, Business Development. Throughout her career Aida held leadership positions in BP Caspian, AMEC, KBR, AIOC and SDM.
Aida graduated from Azerbaijan State Economic University with Bachelor’s degree in planning and economics, Master’ degree from Azerbaijan State Oil Academy in Oil and Gas Industry Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and Operations specializing in planning, performance and projects Controls.
